Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
This is a real river proceeding out of the throne of God and the Lamb, and it is called the river of water of life. The water of life comes down directly from God's throne, and runs down alongside a street, and the trees that grow by this street have their roots in this water.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
There could be more than one tree of life, if this term is for a species and not a single tree. If there were more than one tree of life then it would explain the statement, “on either side of the river.”
Ezekiel 47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Revelation 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
This reign of Jesus Christ began in the millennium, and goes into eternity without interruption, The increase of His kingdom shall never end. This could mean that He creates other worlds as needed. Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. There was a curse put on the earth in Genesis and it has never been gotten rid of completely until here. In the millennium the earth was regenerated but still had the devil in the bottomless pit but here the curse is removed for eternity.

Revelation 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
The first five chapters John deals with what is going on in the new earth. Here he going to start the conclusion of the whole book.

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
This passage is talking about the second coming and the book of this prophecy is primarily talking about the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 22:8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
This could be Daniel speaking to John. Daniel was told to seal up until the time of the end. He is said to be John fellow servant and his brethren the prophets.
Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Revelation 22:10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
The time is at hand is the dispensation of the fullness of time which is ready to happen. The kingdom of God last forever. However there will be a time of testing. There will be a 1000 generation that God has promised Israel in their land. If we say a generation is 40 years or if it is 33 years, which is how long the Lord Jesus Christ lived on the earth, the time will be either 33,000 years or 40,000 years.

Luke 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

1 Chronicles 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

Psalms 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
When the millennium is over, what ever condition a person is in, that will be it. The judgment is over and nothing is left but eternity. They are cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
This is true in all dispensations; the saved people will be rewarded according to their works.

Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
These are the Nation of Israel that gets blessed because they have kept the commandments and they will have the right to the tree of life. The Gentiles Nations also have the right to the tree of life because they bring the glory and honor into the Holy City. Revelation 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. The ones that are without are the ones that have been cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
There is no doubt who is the bright and morning start, it is the Lord Jesus Christ. Lucifer is also called the son of the morning. Don't get them mixed up like some of the new translation do. Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
The Lord Jesus Christ invites them to come and take of the water of life freely. This is the last and final invitation given by God in the scriptures. John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
This statement is talking about the Book of Revelation but this applies to the whole Bible. There are two other times this warning is given. The ones that could have their part taken out of the book of life are the ones that will come out of the millennium. In the OT this warning was given to all that would add or take away from the Words of God.
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 29:20 The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

The Word of God is without error. They are pure Words.

Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

Psalms 12:7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
This is the end of the Book of Revelation and the benediction is the next verse.

Revelation 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

This is not the end but the beginning of eternity. All of God’s Word from beginning to the end is about the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
