The Book of the Revelation

CHAPTER 15

Revelation 15 is the start of the vial judgments (a vial is a bottle with a large rounded base and a slim neck). This is also the fourth and final account of the tribulation period.

Revelation 15:1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
It would seem that these vial judgments do not start until the middle of the tribulation period. The vial judgments are poured out on the ones that have taken the mark of the beast. The Nation of Israel has been taken down into the wilderness where God has prepared a place for them for the last three and half years.
Revelation 16:2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. We also know by these judgments that the Body of Christ will not be in the tribulation period because this is the wrath of God.
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Revelation 15:2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
John is in the third heaven and sees the ones that have the victory over the beast. They have been caught up from off the earth. John also sees the 144,000 that have been redeemed from the earth.

Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Moses sang a song or redemption for Israel when he led them out of Egypt. Exodus 15:1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. Moses also sang the same song to the ones that came out of the wildness. Deuteronomy 31:28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
Deuteronomy 31:30 And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended. The Nation of Israel could never obtain victory because they were under the law. Through the law came the knowledge of sin and there were none that could keep it. Here at the last of the tribulation period, the Lord Jesus Christ is going to sing a new song because He is going to redeem the Nation of Israel.

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
In the Old Testament, all nations had to come to Jerusalem to worship. When the Lord Jesus Christ returns as King of Kings the Nation of Israel will be established as head over the whole earth. Under the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ there will be a new covenant made with the Nation of Israel and they will be able to worship a righteous God in Jerusalem. Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Revelation 15:5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
Revelation 15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.
Revelation 15:7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.
Revelation 15:8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
This the temple in heaven, where there are seven last plagues, which fall in judgment upon the inhabitants of the earth for rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the real temple that is in heaven. The one that is on earth is just a patter of the one in heaven During the tribulation period there are judgment going from the very beginning. The last of the vials will be poured out sometime near the end of the tribulation.
